At D.A.V. Public School, Dehradun, Defense Colony, 'Samidha' inter-school activities were enthusiastically organized. The main theme of these activities was 'Solar Cells: Today and Tomorrow.' Various competitions were conducted during the program based on this theme, including model and poster making, PowerPoint presentations, and street plays.
The program was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Professor Dr. Anita Rawat, Director of USERC, and the Guest of Honor, Dr. Gunjan Purohit, a professor at D.A.V. College. The panel of judges included Dr. Gunjan Purohit, Dr. O.P. Nautiyal, and Mr. G.R. Gangwar. Additionally, the event was enhanced by the presence of Mrs. Dr. Mayuri, National Coordinator of V.V.M., and Dr. R.P. Nautiyal, a scientist at DRDO.
The objective of these activities was to develop analytical thinking and reasoning skills in students, enabling them to analyze objects, facts, events, rules, and principles, and reach accurate conclusions.
The program featured numerous educational models, and participants highlighted the benefits and future drawbacks of using solar energy through street plays. The PowerPoint presentations presented by the students were a major attraction. All participants who took part in these activities were awarded certificates."
